Hygge - Development

Process:

This symbol was interesting to create because it only uses circle shapes. Luckily there's a circle tool on Illustrator so I was able to make them super clean. I feel this adds to the simplicity as well as the use of flat colour. I used the divide tool to create the pink ring as I wanted this to be an object I could move if I decide to make this one into a gif. The colour pink signifies love, which I feel fits well with the definition and notion of the connection between family and friends. I then started to experiment with different amounts of 'people' (dots) and different skin tones however this started to over-complicate things and thus defeat the object of my topic- simplicity.
