Experiment Results- Ben

Subject: Ben, age 6.
Girl
Boy
Aspirations
Unfortunately Ben lost interest and didn't want to carry on the experiment so I was unable to collect results for a Man and a Woman. That could possible represent the stereotype that boys are less patient, ha. I'm going to analyse the results from the other questions anyway. Again, these will be shown on another blog post alongside the analysis of the results from the other subjects.
It is evident that Ben's drawings of a Boy and a Girl feature stereotypical as well as non-stereotypical features, which is similar to Lydia's results. This could suggest that perhaps young children in this day and age aren't being as heavily influenced by what they are seeing in advertisements or that advertisements/ toys are becoming more gender neutral and reflecting society's changed views about gender. However, I've looked at recent toys and adverts and this doesn't seem to be the case. Other reasons could be influences such as family life, school, tv shows/ films etc. Children are influenced by and learn from so many different things. Before I waffle on any more, we can't ignore the fact that one of Ben's drawings show that he wants to be a footballer when he's older, which I feel is very stereotypical.
